Get your own back on Trick-or-Treaters this Halloween by turning the tables with a spooky spider designed to make getting your treats a hair-raising experience.
TeaCosyFolk’s next project is set to bring a spine-chilling twist to Halloween with their next creation: a knitted Quality Street box cover designed to spook trick-or-treaters. This innovative cover will feature spooky Halloween motifs, transforming an ordinary tub of Quality Street chocolates into a frightful centrepiece. But the real highlight is the knitted, evil-looking spider perched menacingly over the top, guarding the sweets within.
The design cleverly incorporates a gap between the box and the spider, just wide enough for hands to reach in, adding an extra layer of suspense and thrill. Given that many people have a fear of spiders, this chilling box cover will make retrieving sweets a daring adventure. It’s perfect for trick-or-treaters or for displaying sweets at Halloween parties, ensuring a memorable experience for all.
Crafted with Stylecraft Special DK yarn, this cover will be designed to fit an octagonal tub of Quality Street chocolates. Not only is it a fun and spooky addition to your Halloween décor, but it’s also reusable, allowing you to bring out the fright year after year.
The only issue I see with creating this box cover is the legs of the spider, they need to be kept ridged so knitting alone won't be enough to hold the spiders body up. I'm thinking that maybe corset boning could be the answer.
I think this spooky Halloween chocolate box cover promises to make this project a standout piece for the Halloween season.
