Rock Star Tea Cosy

With Eurovision coming very soon I thought it would be great to have a tea cosy inspired by Eurovision.

We love to watch Eurovision and to be honest we like the wild and whacky songs the best and we always enjoy the performances by the heavy metal bands. It's so lovely to have the contest in the UK this year on behalf of last years winners; Ukraine. It's because it's such a special Eurovision this year, that I wanted to make a tea cosy.

So I thought that my Eurovision inspired tea cosy would be a rock star. I took my influences from a few different places. I thought I would have my character in a Freddie Mercury style pose, singing to his microphone. I thought, because he's bending down that he'd have big buttocks like Rod Stewart. And for the ultimate rock look, I will give him a mullet hair style. And he'll have a rock star leather jacket with big lapels.

He'll be the ideal cosy to keep your teapot hot whilst watching the show and all the performances.

I don't foresee any any difficulties beyond knitting in black yarn which is never very good, I shall have to knit all the black parts during daylight.

The microphone will have to have some stiffening support, but old bamboo knitting needles are perfect for that and there is always a ready supply down at the charity shops.
