During lockdown the sale of greenhouses has rocketed as we all spent more time at home. We have turned to growing our own and that has inspired me to design a Greenhouse tea cosy.
This is a white, traditional-looking greenhouse, and I shall knit the windows in silver to represent the glass.
There’s a giant tomato sprouting from the roof of the greenhouse. The gardener obviously uses Miracle Grow! What a beauty, it certainly is a gardener’s delight.
By the side of the greenhouse I thought I’d have a few gardening tools and a few pretty weeds.
The only issues that I see with this greenhouse is the shape. As we all know a teapot is round and a greenhouse is a cube with a triangular roof on top. But I think I have a plan to get the right shape.
Knitting the same thing multiple times is a bit boring. All those windows! It would be good if I could make this process less tedious whilst avoiding intarsia, I know there are people out there who dread intarsia, so I shall try to keep away from that.
Course you can only see one view of the greenhouse and I would like the other view to be as interesting. So, I shall add more gardening paraphernalia around the other side.
