Fab Lolly Hot Water Bottle Cover

Cold weather got you down? TeaCosyFolk's are going to create a Fab Lolly Hot Water Bottle Cover to remind you of the summer months and keep out the chills!

This playful cover will transform your regular hot water bottle into an adorable lolly-shaped cuddle buddy. Well that's the plan anyway.

The three bold stripes of the Fab lolly are so iconic and they haven't changed for years, they are nearly everyone's favourite childhood ice lolly.

Now I know there's an obvious temperature clash here, ice lolly's are cold and hot water bottles are... well hot. But for me it's about the playfulness, and the lolly shape brings a smile to my face. Plus I thought I could add a little message to the stick. You know when we were kids there used to be jokes on the lolly stick - well I was thinking I'd add a message 'UR FAB'. I thought it would make the cover a wonderful gift, or just be a self reassuring message, because it's always nice to be told that your fab.

I don't see any issues with the designing of this cosy. I want to try to make it so that there is only one seam running down one side. It will have an envelope flap to enable getting the bottle in and out and this will be button closed. The neck will remain open for easy access to the neck of the bottle and the stopper. I shall knit it in Stylecraft Special Aran, and the sprinkles will be embroidered on at the end.
