Floral Clematis Birdcage Tea Cosy and Knitting Pattern

For summer I thought a flower tea cosy would be lovely. I love clematis with their big, sunny, lovely blooms and they come in so many colours.

What is lovely about this tea cosy is that it looks good from any side, there is no front or back really. It's just all round flower power loveliness.

Clematis need support, something to grow up and the main basis for this tea cosy is a white bird cage. You often see these French style birdcages in vintage shops. They are often used as home décor or floral displays. The clematis on this tea cosy looks as if it's growing up the birdcage, the hanging hook of the cage is clearly visible on the top but you can just see bits of cage bars peeping through the flowers and leaves.

It's a lovely and simply looking tea cosy, that it is very pretty and has a wonderful summer garden vibe.
