Bespoke Antique Dealer Tea Cosy

I was asked to design and knit a tea cosy of an antique dealer, the customers boss. She sent a few snaps for me to work from, and said he often wore a blue jumper and that he was a little bit plump.

It was the customer that suggested that he was standing next to a chest of drawers, with maybe a clock on top. She also asked if I could include a mouse. So that is what I have created.

From the photos I saw that he wore spectacles, so I fashioned some from wire. And I thought he should be in a pose as if he was deep in thought, as if he were doing a valuation of the drawers or the clock.

It was a great project to work on and a great challenge. I hope he loves his woolly effigy!
