The cover wraps around an ordinary tub of Quality Street chocolates, but it’s anything but ordinary. The stripey box cover, in its Halloween colours sides on over the top of the open sweet tub and then a big spider looms over the top of the box, with its big res eyes watching as hands try to steal a treat.

To add to the creepiness, there is a knitted cobweb over the open top of the box, with just enough room to get a hand in to the goodies, but you will feel the cobweb brush the back of your hand. The sweets within are no longer mere confections; they’re treasures coveted by our arachnid sentinel. Will you risk disturbing its lair for a toffee penny or a purple hazelnut swirl? The box cover is made from DK yarn throughout, and the legs are stiffened with 10mm wide black boning. The cobweb is the requires you to cast on tot he left hand needle and cast off again, but there is a video on YouTube to show you the technique.
