Animated Tea Cosy

Description

The harvest pumpkin tea cosy is a lovely tea cosy of a pumpkin at harvest time with a couple of rodents about it. The tea cosy is perfect for later autumn and halloween, with less spookiness than the usual Halloween tea cosies.

The pumpkin in knitted in a wrapped rib that adds the interesting bars across some of the stocking stitch panels. The stalk has a lovely twist in it that creates a loop, which would be ideal for hanging the coy up on a hook when its not in use.

The two brown rodents are adorable. If you don't like rodents, you could leave them off and have just the beautiful pumpkin.

I love the way the rodents are investigating the pumpkin. One is looking down to the second one whos looking up. Their tails curl up around the pumpkin.

It's a great tea cosy that is interesting to make and looks fantastic. Brilliant for Halloween and Harvest festival time.

And 'Ping,' the teapot turned into a Pumpkin with little rodents scampering around it.

This Tea Cosy:

  • is made from double thickness yarn for extra insulation
  • fits a medium sized teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints
