Marilyn Monroe Tea Cosy and Knitting Pattern

Inspired by the glamorous lady herself in her iconic white dress, the Marilyn Monroe makes for a tea cosy that captures the essence of Hollywood glamour. Apparently Marilyn was partial to a cup of green tea.

This tea cosy is based on the series of famous photos of Marilyn Monroe standing on an air vent. The main part of the tea cosy is Marilyn's dress. There are swirls of her dress all around the cosy to give the impression of her skirt billowing out with the airflow.

Marilyn's body and head are on the centre top of the cosy. I have given her hair a billowy look too using bubble stitch, there is a help video on Youtube for Marilyn's hair. She's also got false eyelashes for the ultra glam look.

Her arms come down in front of her and she tries to hold her skirt down, and you can see her legs and white strappy sandals below.

Marilyn makes for a wonderfully glamorous tea cosy. She'd be perfect for a Birthday present because she famously sang happy birthday to President Kennedy.

She's also perfect for anyone who loves Marilyn and wants to add a touch of Hollywood glamour to tea times.
