Stegosaurus Tea Cosy

Description

The Stegosaurus tea cosy was designed for the Simply Knitting Magazine issue 246 which goes on sale on the 28th December 2023.

Dinosaurs are just amazing aren't they? Their colossal size and how they look just inspire peoples imaginations. I was inspired by the big and cumbersome stegosaurus. A massive veggie that is heavily armoured with huge bony plates and spikes that look like thorns.

I thought the stegosaurus would make for an interesting dinosaur tea cosy, that could bring a bit of roarsomeness to teatimes.

The main part of the dinosaur's body creates the tea cosy, and the head, tail and limbs are made and sewn on after.

I have used pair of 9mm green cat safety eyes for the stegosaurus's eyes, and they complete the giant lizard look. I sourced the cats eyes from CelloExpress.co.uk
