Chinese New Year Rabbit Tea Cosy and Knitting Pattern

With the Lunar New Year fast approaching I wanted to design a Rabbit tea cosy in time for the Chinese New Year. And here is the New Year Rabbit tea cosy that's a mini sized tea cosy that fits a teapot for one or that holds just 1 pint of tea.

For the Year of the Rabbit, I thought a colourful tea cosy design would be cheerful and look a bit mystical. The patterns and detailing of the rabbit are worked in white to contrast with the colours making a very stylised looking rabbit cosy.

The Rabbit is holding a Chinese lantern in front of him as he celebrates the new year.

Although he was designed to be a Chinese New Year Rabbit, he could just as easily be an Easter Bunny tea cosy, and the lantern could be switched to be an Easter egg.

It's a lovely tea cosy that's quick and easy to make and looks adorable.

Perfect for people born in the Year of the Rabbit.
