Description

The Australian Swaggie tea cosy was designed for Homespun Magazine No:175 December 2017 issue which went sale on the 7th of December 2017.

Australian Swaggie tea cosy is based on the traditional Australia wandering labourers, as famously sang about in the song Waltzing Matilda.

Australian Swaggie tea cosy is an old unkempt fellow, with his bed rolled up on his back and his belongings in a bindle slung over his shoulder. He is wearing a red neckerchief and iconic corked hat. He has smoke coming from his pipe and he's carrying his billy can ready for making a refreshing cup of tea. I really love his big old work boots and his patched up trousers. He's an endearing fellow you'd really want to go a-Waltzing with.

The knitting pattern is a 8 page pattern with photos and diagrams of how to create the Swaggie. He's quite details so he's a lovely project.

With this tea cosy, you'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me
