Keep Fit Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern

I was thinking about the new year and a new year's tea cosy and an idea for a keep fit tea cosy popped into my head. New year is usually the time when we decide to get slimmer, fitter and start working out.

Based on memories from 80's TV and the television workouts by the likes of the Green Goddess and Mr Motivator; I have designed an overweight lady in a pink leotard, with green lycra leggings and yellow leg warmers. It's the teapot that really dictates how overweight she is, but I have given her chunky legs and bingo wings, a big chest and buttocks to accentuate her size.

She's in a sitting position probably doing dumbell curls. Her expression on her face says that she's finding it difficult.

I have again modeled her hair style on an 80's look with a headband. it's a bit messy looking and reminds me of Sarah Connor from Terminator.

She's a fun tea cosy to knit and I think we can all empathise with her, which I think makes her endearing.

After a tough workout, you need a nice hot brew!

This Tea Cosy:

• is made from double thickness yarn for extra insulation
• fits a medium sized teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints
