Description

The Conker Player tea cosy was inspired by memory from childhood of collecting and playing conkers.

The Conker Player tea cosy depicts someone playing outside, dressed in their coat and woolly hat, holding up a conker as if they are playing a game of conkers. They have a nice big horse chestnut at the end of their string and they have a couple of spares behind them.

Being outside in the autumn, I imagined the hair to be a bit wind swept and unruly, so used the loopy stitch to create wisps of hair just peeping out from beneath the woolly hat.

In the trouser back pocket is a catapult and another conker.

The conker player tea cosy is a fun tea cosy that brings back memories of childhood in the autumn and conker collecting and conker fights.
