Description

To celebrate and commemorate peace in Europe, I have designed a VE day tea cosy that depicts Winston Churchill, who was the UK prime minister during World War two.

Winston Churchill was a large, old man and always wore a jacket and waistcoat. He was often photographed with a cigar and his homburg hat.

So the tea cosy include all these things that we associate with Winston Churchill, the suit, the dickie bow, the homburg, the cigar and I have tried to accentuate this bulk and given him a larger head.

Because it's VE day he is getting ready for a street party, and many people did to mark VE day. Churchill is helping hang out some Red, White and Blue bunting, but he does seem to be getting a bit tangled up in it. The bunting is wrapped all around the back of him.

It's a sweet and nostalgic tea cosy and the blue bow tie and the bunting bring a bit of colour to the composition. He's great for your VE day celebrations!

Tea and Bunting for a Great British teatime celebration!
