Animated Tea Cosy

Description

Rhinos are just fantastic aren't they? They are big cumbersome looking animals that can be very dangerous, but they also look so sad too; and that makes them really endearing. The wonderful character of these animals is what inspired me to create a Rhino tea cosy.

The rhinoceros is the predominant part of the tea cosy, I have added a mud and grassy landscape beneath him. Then the top of the tea cosy is all Rhino. His legs are knitted separately and sewn on. His back legs ingeniously create the rhinos bottom.

At the head end the rhino has brown safety eyes inserted into eyelids to give him that 'sorry for himself' expression.

Oh his back is a Cattle Egret, these birds are often seen on rhinos backs. It looks like they are hitching a lift, but they are picking of ticks and catching flies.

This is a lovely tea cosy and the rhino and cattle egret make a great pair to share teatime with and they are fun to knit and add character into.

Wildlife inspired tea cosy to take charge or keeping the tea hot.
