Animated Tea Cosy

Description

The biker tea cosy was inspired by the typical Harley Davidson type biker. The old school bikers with big beards and tassel leather jackets looking very cool.

His leather jacket in knitted in black yarn and has tassels running front to back and over his shoulders. The tassels are knitting with a loops stitch. Photos are included of how to knit this stitch.

Alongside the tassles is a row of studs knitted in Silver yarn. And on the bikers head is a bandana with a simple design on it that is knitted into the piece and the pattern is knitted from a chart. It really looks effective.

The Biker is wearing sunglasses or perhaps retro goggles to protect his eyes. In true biker fashion, he's got a big ginger beard, maybe a little bit inspired by the Hairy Bikers.

Having motorbike enthusiasts in my own family, it was great fun to create a biker tea cosy that played on the old stereotypes.

Get your motors running, with the biker tea cosy.
