Lollipop Lady Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern

This lady is a real traffic stopper! The Lollipop lady tea cosy is a knitted tribute to all the traffic parole helpers who do such an amazing job helping people cross the roads safely at busy times of the day.

The lollipop lady is wearing high-vis clothing, a long waterproof coat and cap. The high-vis look comes from the Cygnet, Pato Everyday DK, Neon Yellow yarn. It's very bright and looks amazing.

When I studied lollipop lady uniforms it seams like there are an assortment of possible hat styles. I thought if I chose a baseball style cap that it would suit a lady or a lollipop man.

The sign is stiffened with a plastic bottle from the recycling. The image in the sign is painted on with Black Pebeo Setacolor 3D gloss effect fabric paint which comes in a tube that you 'write' or 'draw' with.

What I love abut the lollipop lady tea cosy is that she looks happy and friendly, and her arms are outstretched to make sure everyone crosses the road safely. After doing her work and standing outside in all weathers, she'll need a hot cuppa!
