Description

The Scandi Christmas Jumper tea cosy was designed for the Simply Knitting Magazine issue 205 which went on sale on the 4th November 2020.

This little Christmas jumper is Scandinavian inspired with a simple colour pallet and repetitive patterns. At the bottom is a lovely Fair Isle rickrack motif and above that is a row of Christmas trees.

The main feature of the Christmas tea cosy is the leaping reindeers that are stood on their back legs over a Christmas present, and above is a delicate snowflake.

To make the cosy look like a jumper the cosy has a turtle neck that rolls down and back onto itself. And the teapot handle and spout stick out like arms.

The tea cosy is all knitted on 4mm needles, so to keep the teapot really hot the tea cosy has a knitted lining.

It's a super cute tea cosy that feels really Christmassy, we all want to snuggle up in cosy jumper in the winter and now your teapot can too!

Perfect for Christmas Jumper day - a mini jumper for your teapot!

This Tea Cosy:

  • has a knitted lining to keep the teapot really hot
  • fits a medium sized teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints
